Welcoming a new baby is one of the most special and fleeting times, and it’s a true privilege to capture these early days for you.

I have been photographing newborns for over 10 years and have undertaken extensive newborn safety training, with ongoing courses booked each year to stay up to date with the latest safe posing techniques. Prior to becoming a photographer, I also worked as a childminder, giving me years of hands-on experience caring for babies. Your little one’s safety, comfort and wellbeing will always be my highest priority.

Newborn sessions are ideally booked within the first 1–4 weeks, with 2–3 weeks being the perfect time. During this stage, babies are typically sleepier and more settled, allowing for those beautifully calm, gently posed images. However, I am happy to accommodate babies up to around 6 weeks where possible.

Each newborn session is carefully planned and allows plenty of time for feeding, settling and cuddles. Sessions usually last around 3–4 hours, and I dedicate a full morning or afternoon just to you, so there is never any pressure to rush.

Sibling and family images are always welcome. I usually begin with baby only images while they are settled and sleepy, then gently incorporate siblings, finishing with family portraits at the end. If preferred, sibling and family images can also be arranged on a separate datee, particularly helpful for younger children who may find it difficult to wait during a longer session.

My style is soft, natural and timeless. I work mainly with whites, neutrals and delicate tones, with a carefully curated collection of wraps, textures and props to complement your home and personal style. The focus is always on your baby, keeping setups simple, calm and beautifully understated.

A booking fee of £49 is required to secure your session. This covers your session time only, with packages available to choose from once your images are ready to view.

Lifestyle Newborn Sessions at Home

For families who would prefer a more relaxed and natural approach, I also offer lifestyle newborn sessions in the comfort of your own home across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

These sessions focus on capturing genuine moments and connections, cuddles on the sofa, feeding, nursery details, and those quiet in-between moments that make this stage so special. Rather than posed setups, lifestyle sessions are led by your baby and your family, creating a beautiful, honest story of your early days together.

I will guide you gently throughout the session using natural light within your home, keeping everything calm, simple and baby-led. These sessions are perfect if you love a more relaxed feel or would prefer not to travel in those early weeks.

Lifestyle newborn sessions typically last around 1–2 hours and can be booked as a standalone session or alongside a studio session for a mix of both styles.
